PCC

A Police Clearance Certificate is an official document issued by Police Department or Regional Passport Office from where the passport issued, to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may or may not have criminal record may include arrest conviction and criminal proceeding. Applicant may have to submit the application for PCC with certain personal information at concerned department if there is not criminal record found then the Police Clearance Certificate will issued.

PCC is mainly used for the following purpose:

  1. Obtaining entry visa to certain country.
  2. Employers request
  3. Higher study
  4. To engage business
  5. Migration to Foreign Countries

Period of Validity

The validity period of PCC is depending upon each country.

PCC issued from Passport Office:

To apply a police clearance certificate, the applicant is required to fill a application form. The application form is available at the passport office or it can be download from web site of the ministry. The filled in application form may be submitted personally or through a representative having identity document and authority letter signed by the applicant.

  2. Validity passport in Original
  3. Prof. of residence
  4. A set of complete personal particulars.

Apostille in PCC

Ministry of External Affairs of India in New Delhi will attest all PCC certificate issued by all the regional passport office in India. If the PCC is intended to use in hauge convention country the Apostille Attestation is compulsory for the Police Clearance Certificate. Ministry of External Affairs confirmed and verify the authenticity of the Police Clearance Certificate issued by the regional passport office.
