The Embassy attestation is not mandatory for some educational documents and personal documents that the process which may be done on the original certificate, Instead of embassy attestation, The Saudi embassy required the QR code Apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs.

Ministry of External Affairs providing apostille attestation to the certificate issued from all the states in India for the use for Saudi Arabia. All documents required the QR code apostille attestation, it was authenticated by a designated department in the state, from where the certificate has been issued. In case of educational documents it should be attested from the regional authentication center of the state government / HRD but in case of personal documents such as marriage certificate, birth certificate etc. it should be attested from the home department of the state government.
